A community-based organization, the orchestra draws players and audiences from south of Portland to Rockland along the coast, and inland from Augusta to the Lewiston-Auburn area. Its members all volunteer their time to practice and perform with the Midcoast Symphony. Fiddle-icious is a fun–loving Maine orchestra playing fiddle, piano, harp, guitar, banjo, mandolin, flute, accordion, cello, tin whistle, concertina, upright bass, and bagpipes. Their tunes are passed down from the Irish, Scottish, Quebecois, and Acadian traditions and include reels, jigs, marches, hornpipes, waltzes, step-dancing, and beautiful singing harmonies.
